What to expect from Activity Matters Physiotherapy?

Initial physiotherapy involves the physiotherapist conducting a thorough assessment, including asking a variety of questions including health and relevant medical history, and your goals/expectations from our Physiotherapy services.

Before the assessment you will receive detailed instructions regarding completion of a series of questionnaires. It is essential that you bring the completed questionnaires as well as all scans/medical reports to your assessment.

No two treatment programs are alike, our assessment and management are individualised to reflect your presentation and expectations. Knowledge is power and our Physiotherapists will engage you in understanding your presentation, the appropriate rehabilitation program and expected timeframes.

Do I need a referral from a Doctor?

If you are a private patient you will not need a referral.

However, if you are on worker’s compensation, have a motor vehicle claim or on veteran’s affairs (DVA), you will require a referral.
