Personalised care is integral in our approach at Activity Matters when managing a musculoskeletal condition; we look at the whole person, not just the injury in isolation.

As part of our personalised approach, our physiotherapists are completely mobile and will come to you. We can travel to your home, workplace, or gym. We collaborate with you to develop individualise rehabilitation plans and programmes to help you on your road to recovery in the shortest time possible.

 

Activity Matters provide mobile physiotherapy services to: 

 

Private Clients/ Private Health Insurance

No referral is required for private patients. Payment is required on the day of service and health fund rebates are applicable.

Pain Management

Persistent pain involves all systems in the body, not just the site of your original injury. Our approach utilises cognitive behavioural principles in order to educate the injured individual and reduce excessive illness/pain behaviours. Our programs are conducted by highly skilled physiotherapists.

Our individualised approach includes a comprehensive assessment, Education & Lifestyle advice, Management plan, Exercise rehabilitation, Hands on treatment as indicated, Liaison with other care provider.

Motor Vehicle Insurance (ICWA)

The Physiotherapy team at Activity Matters are skilled in setting up an individualised rehabilitation programme for you depending upon your clinical presentation. A doctor's referral and compensation claim number will be required if seeking compensation.

Workers' Compensation

We help you navigate the sometimes-challenging worker’s compensation system, and guide you through your evidence-based rehab to get you back on track. A Doctors referral and compensation claim number will be required.

Cognitive Functional Therapy

Physiotherapy with a holistic approach to pain management, using personalised pain education and physical activity to build confidence in the body, achieve SMART goals, improve overall lifestyle and harness a mind-body focus.

Exercise Rehabilitation (Home & Gym)

The fundamental aim of our programmes are to achieve empowerment through exercise. We look to support optimised function and facilitate healthy re-engagement in work, as well as everyday and recreational pursuits. This is achieved via bespoke exercise programming and by setting collaborative goals based on meaningful activities. We blend holistic biopsychosocial rehabilitation principles with an understanding and appreciation for recover at work processes. We see the big picture, and understand that rehabilitation should support restored capacities for all aspects of life.

Exercise is essential for your overall good health and wellbeing. It helps keep your muscles, bones and joints strong so that you can keep moving. It reduces your risk of developing other conditions such as heart disease, osteoporosis, diabetes and some forms of cancer. It boosts your mood, benefits your mental health, aids weight control and improves sleep.

Mobility Assessments

General & Post Hospital Rehabilitation

If you are recovering from surgery, one of the most important aspects for a successful outcome is the rehabilitation process. Additionally, ‘prehab’ (the term used for rehab prior to surgery) results in a quicker recovery, often with less pain.

We are a preferred provider for Medibank Rehab in the Home. If you would like services in place at home post total hip or total knee replacement speak with your surgeon or hospital discharge planner.

Arthritis Rehabilitation (GLA:D coming soon)

Aged Care

Physiotherapy delivers a tailored approach for seniors experiencing chronic pain, reduced range of movement and ailments resulting from age and lifestyle with one-to-one consults and/or group exercise programs. We offer aged care physiotherapy services to reduce and better manage pain and importantly your quality of life.

Our services include: Mobility Assessment, Arthritis Rehabilitation, Pain Management, Hydrotherapy, Exercise Programmes

DVA

GP referrals are required for both Gold and White card holders. No gap payments are charged

Medicare (EPC)

Chronic Disease Management, GP referrals are required and you may be eligible for up to five treatments per calendar year. Bulk billing is available to our clients. A gap payment is required; the $30 covers the cost/time of travel for the Physiotherapist to travel to you.

NDIS

Physiotherapy services can be provided to help you achieve your goals set out in your service agreement. All plans are discussed up front with no hidden fees. This can be achieved by providing Physiotherapy services at the most convenient location either in the home, workplace or at a local hydrotherapy or gym facility. To facilitate this, we will provide a service agreement outlining the services we will provide including the hours involved and our fees. An assessment initially will identify current levels of activity and expectations from Physiotherapy and a report detailing our findings, along with a plan including time goals and duration of intervention.

Appointments are a minimum of 30 minutes in duration to allow for the comprehensive assessment, treatment and education of our patients.

HICAPS services are available for on the spot claiming of private health fund rebates.
